His music has been featured in film trailers, including Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland (2010)” and “Hairspray” (2007), as well as numerous shows on cable and network television.

With 15+ scores and commissions already in 2013, Beeson composes primarily in the film and game industries. He has scored over 60 games & dozens of short and feature films. Sean’s music is also reaching the masses in other ways, with over 4 million views on YouTube, over 700k views on SoundCloud, and an interview on NPR. His professionalism and musical talent has also been recognized by his peers, including being nominated for three G.A.N.G. Awards for Best Audio Other and, most recently, a nod for Best Handheld Audio for his stellar music in Ravensword: Shadowlands.

In 2011, Beeson was commissioned by BalletMet Columbus to score the world premier of “Illuminated Tapestry” (Jimmy Orrante, choreographer). In their review, The Columbus Dispatch wrote: “Beeson’s score makes this ballet both captivating and emotionally charged” (2012).

Sean has taught media composition at his alma mater, Capital University (Ohio), and is available to speak at lectures and conferences on a variety of subjects. Some past speaking engagements include the Philadelphia GameXpo, Game Developer’s Conference, Yale’s Game Audio Symposium, and at the University of Texas.

Outside of composing, Sean produces a successful line of cinematic sample libraries, distributed worldwide. In the past, he served as an officer for the Game Audio Network Guild. In his spare time, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, playing games, exploring the unknown, and forecasting the game industry economy.

Born, raised, educated, and trained in Ohio, Sean now operates a private studio in rural Ohio where he works with clients from around the globe.
